Chip sizes increase in accordance with the growth cycle of the abalone and are also influenced by the farming methods employed. 

Key Benefits

• Growth rates will improve if optimal food and feeding methods are employed
• The 3mm Chip can be used during the weaning stage as well as the "grow out" stage
• The 5mm Chip on some farms will be the largest feed size used, as it will "grow out" the abalone species to its marketable size
• The 7mm Chip on most Australian farms will be the largest feed size used, as it will "grow out" the abalone to its marketable size (30mm to 100mm)
• The 12mm Chip and 20mm Chip are generally used by  Sea Cage farms
